First Frost Of The Season – Mid Michigan

First Frost Of The Season – Mid Michigan

Everything was white early this morning and I’m assuming that my garden is really done for the year.  my dahlias and mums still look pretty good but  we’ll see how that goes.  Mums are usually quite resistant to frost and I’m not sure about the dahlias.  I should go check the tomatoes and bring in the ones that are starting to ripen.  We continue to see a little more color everyday and northern Michigan is near, if not at it’s peak fright now.  Our skies are mostly clear this morning but rain is in the forecast for later today.

Our 9:30 AM temperature is 41°F (5°C), the humidity is 85% and skies are partly cloudy.  The dew point is 37°F (3°C) and winds are from the SE at 5 mph.  Our wind chill is 39°F (4°C).  The pressure is 30.05 in (1017.6 mb) and falling.  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 54°F (12°C) and the overnight low was 33°F (1°C).  Averages for this date are 60°F / 43°F.  Sunrise was at 7:49 AM and sunset will be at 6:54 PM.
