A Nasty Halloween In Mid Michigan

A Nasty Halloween In Mid Michigan

Rain began yesterday in the afternoon and it hasn’t let up since.  There was 0.64″ in my rain gauge at 8:30 this morning and it has been raining ever since.  What’s worse is that we are expecting snow tonight, although it isn’t expected to stick.    Our past four Halloweens have been rainy, but this one will be nasty.  I doubt that many kids will be out, just the die-hards.

Our 10 AM temperature is 41.5°F (5°C), the humidity is 95% and we have moderate rain.  Winds are from the north at 9 mph and the pressure is 29.69 in and falling.  The dew point is 43°F (6°C) and visibility is 4 miles.  The wind chill is 39°F (4°C).  Yesterday’s high was 46°F (8°C) and the overnight low was 40°F (4°C).   Averages for this date are 53°F / 38°F .  Sunrise was at 8:10 AM and sunset will be at 6:29 PM.
