Very Windy And Wet In Mid Michigan

After a very wet Sunday, today will be dryer but with very strong winds.  A wind advisory is in effect until 4 PM and we could see gusts as high as 45 mph.  Yesterday’s story of the day was the fog.  Visibility was under half a mile a good part of the day with intermittent showers.  In all, we received over an inch and a half of rain, and some areas received over 2 inches.  I’m seeing some breaks in the clouds and it would be nice if we saw a little sun today.

Our 10:15 AM temperature is 39°F (4°C) and that has fallen from 43°F since I got up this morning.  The humidity is 88% and skies are cloudy.  Winds are from the SW  at 12 mph, gusting to 26 mph.  The dew point is 35°F (2°C) and the wind chill is 30°F (-1°).  Visibility is 10 miles.  The pressure is 29.34 in (993.6 mb) and rising.  Yesterday’s high was 48°F (9°C) and the overnight low was 40°F (4°C).  Averages for this date are 31°F / 21°C.   Sunrise was at 8:07 AM and sunset will be at 5:10 PM.

Today:  Mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of rain.  High 43°F with falling temperatures through the day.    Winds SW at 22-28 mph, gusting to 44 mph.

Tonight:  Windy with a chance of rain and snow.  Low 31°F.  Winds SW at 17-20 mph, gusting to 30 mph.  Chance of precip 70%.  Snow accumulation of one inch possible.

Tuesday:  Snow showers early.  High 35°F.  Winds W at 16-18 mph, gusting to 31 mph.    Chance of precip 90%.  New snow accumulations of an inch possible.

Tuesday Night:  Mostly cloudy.  Low 26°F.  Winds W at 11-14 mph, gusting to 28 mph.
