Ice Storm Warning In Effect For Mid Michigan

The rain began around midnight and has continued through this morning.  There was 1.70 inches in my guage at 8:30 and it hasn’t stopped raining since.  Our power went out at around 6:30 this morning, but came back on at 8.  I was so happy to hear the furnace start up.  So far, all we have is rain, and I’m hoping that temps stay warm enough that it won’t freeze, but we probably won’t be that lucky.  The ice storm warning remains in effect until 7 AM tomorrow.

Our 8:45 AM temperature is 32°F (0°C), the humidity is 99%, and winds are from the NE at 19 mph.  Skies are overcast with light rain at this time.  The pressure is 29.95 in (1014.2 mb) and rising.  Visibility is 5 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 50°F (10°C) and the overnight low was 33°F (1°C).  Averages for this date are 29°F / 18°F.  Sunrise was at 8:06 AM and sunset will be at 5:22 PM.
