Continued Snow Through Our Weekend – Mid Michigan

Continued Snow Through Our Weekend – Mid Michigan

It started snowing Friday night and hasn’t stopped since.  We did lose a little yesterday between snow showers, and last night we had a period of rain which melted a little.  Today, it’s been snowing since I got up.  When I measured at 9 AM,  we had about 4.75″ of snow/ice cover.  Now it looks like we picked up an additional inch since then.  Temperatures won’t make it our of the 20s today but that’s okay.  After all, it is January and Mother Nature has really let us off easy so far this winter.

Our 1 PM temperature is 25°F (-4 C), the humidity is 83%, and skies are cloudy with light snow.  Winds are from the WNW at 5 mph and the pressure is 29.81 in (1009.5 mb) and rising.  The wind chill is 21°F (-6°C) and visibility is 2.5 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 37°F (3°C) and the overnight low was 18°C (-8°C).  Averages for this date are 27°F / 15°F.  Sunrise was at 8:02 AM and sunset will be at 5:32 PM (EST).
