A Wet First Day Of Spring In Mid Michigan

Our morning is very mild although temperatures will be falling throughout the day.  The high reached 60° right after midnight, and has been dropping since then.  We have some very cold air coming for the weekend and it will feel more like January tomorrow.  Winds will be very strong today and we could see gusts in the 30 mph range. Yesterday wasn’t a bad day with temperatures in the low 50s most of the day.  But, as usual, the winds made it feel much cooler.  We received 0.23″ of rain which began yesterday evening and continued overnight.  We never did get any thunderstorms which were predicted, and it has just started raining once again.

Our 9:45 AM temperature is 45°F (7°C), the humidity is 93%, and skies are overcast with light rain.    The pressure is 29.60 in (1002.4 mb) and rising.  Winds are from the SW at 10-19  mph.  Visibility is 8 miles and the dew point is 43°F (6°C).  Yesterday’s high was 60°F (16°C) and the overnight low was 45°F (7°C).  Averages for this date are 44°F / 28°F.  Sunrise was at 7:38 AM and sunset will be at 7:49 PM.
