As Severe Thunderstorms Hit The State, We Are Spared Once Again – Mid Michigan

As severe thunderstorms developed yesterday, they remained to our south and west.  We received 0.53″ of rain with a little thunder and lightning, but not much more.  Many areas got over 2 inches of rain and some wind damage but we were lucky once again.   Today will continue to be very warm and we aren’t expected to see much sun.  That should keep it a bit cooler.

Our 9:45 AM temperature is 71°F (22°C), the humidity is 93%, and skies are overcast.  Winds are from the W at 3-9 mph, and the dew point is 69°F (21°C).  The pressure is 29.77 in (1008.1 mb) and steady.  Yesterday’s high was 83°F (28°C) and the overnight low was 67°F (19°C).  Averages for this date are 79°F / 57°F.

Today:  Mostly cloudy.  High 85°F.  Winds W at 9-14 mph.

Tonight:  Clearing with a low of 59°F.  Winds W at 5-9 mph.

Sunday Night:  Partly cloudy with a low of 62°F.  Winds NE at 3-6 mph becoming calm late.
