Our Week In Northern Michigan Was Great, Weather-Wise

I haven’t posted a blog for over a week because I have had no WiFi available.  The campground internet was hit by lightning in the storm 2 weeks ago, and it hasn’t been repaired yet.  I hope this doesn’t last the rest of the summer. Regardless, our weather over the past week was wonderful.  Last weekend was hot, but the last three days there were perfect.  If seemed good to turn the AC off and open the windows.  Our campground is wooded so the trailer is in the shade most of the day which helps a lot.  We had one short rain shower Wednesday night that lasted about 10 minutes.  Other than that, it was dry.  Temperatures at night fell into the 50s, so it was great sleeping weather.

Here at home, we had one very wet night which left us with over an inch of rain, and I’m hearing that we can expect that again this weekend.  There is a flash flood advisory for our county and those surrounding us.  This has been terrific for the farmers and all the crops looks like they are doing very well, a complete opposite from last year.

Our 9 AM temperature is 67°F (19°C), the humidity is 90%. and skies are partly cloudy.    The pressure is 29.89 in (1012.2 mb) and steady.  Winds are from the SE at 0-5 mph, and the dew point is 66°F (19°C).  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 79°F (26°C) and the overnight low was 58°F (15°C).  Average temps for this date are 83°F / 60°F.
