A Wet Morning Results In Foggy Afternoon – Mid Michigan

The rain began late last night and continued all night.  There was 0.54″ in my gauge this morning and it continued until after noon.  Now the rain has stopped and fog has developed.  Temperatures will be very warm today and tomorrow before a strong cold front takes over.  At least there is no snow in our forecast as yet.

Our 4 PM temperature is 52F (11C),  the humidity is 9%, and skies are overcast with fog.  The pressure is 29.94 in (1013.9 mb) and falling. Visibility is 3 miles and winds are from the ENE at 1-6 mph.  The dew point is 51F (11C).  Yesterday’s high was 56F (13C) and the overnight low was 44F (7C).  Averages for this date are 56F / 41F.  Sunrise was at 7:59 AM and sunset will be at 6:41 PM.

DURAND / OWOSSO FORECAST:

This Afternoon:  A chance of showers before 5 PM.  Areas of fog.  Otherwise mostly cloudy with steady temperatures.  Winds ESE at 7 mph.  Chance of rain 30%.

Tonight:  Areas of fog before 11 PM.  Becoming partly cloudy with temperatures rising throughout the night.  Winds SSE at 8-16 mph, gusting to 22 mph.

Friday:  Showers and thunderstorms.  High 70F early, then falling throughout the day.  Winds SSW at 15-20 mph, gusting to 36 mph.  Chance of rain 80%.
