High Winds Will Be The Issue Today – Mid Michigan

We are currently under a high wind warning from 11AM until 7PM with gusts expected up to 60 mph.  It is quite warm at the present time, but temperatures will continue to fall most of the day.  We received 0.41″ of rain overnight and radar is showing much more on the way.  I’m hoping that we don’t loose power.

Our 9:30 AM temp is 49F (9C), the humidity is 90%, and winds are currently from the SW at 5-13 mph.  Skies are cloudy and visibility is 10 miles.  The dew point is 50F (10C) and the pressure is 29.13 in (986.8 mb) and falling.  The wind chill is 46F (8C).  Yesterday’s high was 44F (7C) and the overnight low was 41F (5C).

DURAND / OWOSSO FORECAST:

Today:  High wind warning in effect until 7 PM.  Showers and thunderstorms likely.  High 51F falling to around 38F by 4 pm.  Winds WSW at 15-25 mph with gusts as high as 55-60 mph.  Chance of rain 80%.

Tonight:  Scattered rain and snow showers.  Low 30F.  Winds W at 20-25 mph with gusts as high as 50 mph.  Chance of precip 30%.

Monday:  Mostly sunny.  High 43F.  Winds W at 14-17 mph, gusting to 30 mph.
