Where’s The Sun? – Mid Michigan

Our forecast for today called for sun and decreased winds.  So far, there has been no sign of the sun and the forecast is now saying mostly cloudy with possibly a little sun later on.  At least we don’t have strong wind so I guess we should be happy about that.  Yesterday was cloudy all day and the winds were pretty blustery, but there was some clearing to our north around sunset.  I thought for sure that today would be sunny.  But noooooo.  Oh well, it is December in Michigan and it could be much worse.  I have a mass of birds congregating at my feeder.  Sometimes I feel like half the birds in the county are here.  I love watching them as they fight to get their place in line.  Of course, the bigger birds get first dibs and the little ones just have to wait.  I think they knock half  of it off on the ground and we usually wait until most of that is gone before we refill.

Our 12:30 PM temperature is 33F (1C), the humidity is 72%, and winds are from the north at 3-10 mph.  The pressure is 30.00 in (1015.9) and steady.  the dew point is 22F (-6F) and visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 42F (6C) and the overnight low was 26F (-3C).  Averages for this date are 36F / 25F.  Sunrise was at 7:52 AM and sunset will be at 5:01 PM.
