The snow began late yesterday and continued throughout the night.   Our snow accumulation was about 2 inches this morning, giving us a total ground cover of about 5.5 inches.  We will continue to have intermittent lake effect snow squalls the remainder of the day.  A winter weather advisory is in effect until 7 PM.

Our 2 PM temperature is 19F (-7C), the humidity is 73%, and skies are cloudy with blowing snow.  Winds are from the WSW at 8-22 mph, gusting as high as 26 mph.  The pressure is 29.36 in (994.3 mb) and rising.  The wind chill is 11F (-12C) and the dew point is 10F (-12C).  Yesterday’s high was 36F (2C) and our low so far today is 18F (-8C).  Average temps for this date are 28F / 15F.   Sunrise was at 7:47 AM and sunset will be at 5:54 PM.

This Afternoon:  Lake effect snow showers.  High 19F.  Winds WSW at 15-25 mph, gusting to 35 mph.  Snow accumulations of less than an inch. Chance of snow 70%.

Tonight:  Mostly cloudy with snow showers.  Low near 15F.  Winds WSW at 10-20 mph.  Chance of snow 40%.

Saturday:  Overcast.  High 21F.  Winds WSW at 10-20 mph.
