A Typical Summer Day In Mid Michigan

Today is perfect in terms of how a summer day should be.  Yes, it is very warm but perfect for water sports if you’re into that sort of thing.  Our morning began with cloudy skies but it has cleared up quite nicely since then.  We are still seeing smoke from the wildfires out west which make a hazy cover to the otherwise clear sky.  Winds are very light today and it’s a nice one just to go out and sit in the shade.  Local weather people are telling us to expect some stormy conditions on Thursday.  We have to go to Detroit that day so I’m hoping that it isn’t a repeat of Saturday.

Our 3:30 PM temperature is 82°F (28°C), the humidity is 53%, and skies are mostly clear.  The pressure is 30.00 in (1015.9 mb) and falling.  The dew point is 61°F (16°C) and visibility is 10 miles.  Winds are from the west at 2-5 mph and the heat index is 85°F (29°C).   Yesterday’s high was 89°F (32°C) and the overnight low was 68°F (20°C).  Average temps for this date are 81°F / 59°F.  Sunrise was at 6:23 AM and sunset will be at 9:04 PM.
