Another Stormy Day In Mid Michigan

As we drove home from Indian River yesterday, we ran into some pretty impressive storm clouds.  We received a severe thunderstorm watch on the way, but didn’t see any of that.  I think that the southern portions of the state saw stronger storms than we did.  Sporadic rain showers was the best we had with little or no thunder.  Gusty winds were more of an issue.  There has been a lot of that this past summer.  In fact, I don’t remember ever seeing such a green September.  Usually everything is brown and dry by this time of the year.  There also isn’t much color happening.  We saw a few trees up north starting to turn but very little for mid September.  It’s been a strange summer for us.

Our 10:15 AM temperature is 63°F (17°C), the humidity is 92% and skies are cloudy.  Winds are from the W at 2-6 mph and the dew point is 60°F (16°C).  The pressure is 29.91 in (1012.2 mb) and rising.  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 86°F (30°C) and the overnight low was 58°F (14°C).  Average temps for this date are 75°F / 52°F.  Sunrise was at 7:15 AM and sunset will be at 7:46 PM.
