A Typical November Day In Mid Michigan

We think of November in Michigan as being cold and cloudy, and that’s exactly what we have today.  There’s just enough wind to make it feel even more chilly, but at least there is no snow on the ground.  There isn’t any precipitation in the forecast until possibly tomorrow and that is expected to come as rain.  I’m seeing a few people already putting up their Christmas trees but mine will wait until early December.  The days this time of year are so dark that Christmas lights make it tolerable.  It gets dark so early that it seems like it should be 10PM when it’s only 8PM, and I find that I’m getting sleepy much earlier than usual.  It’s no wonder that so many animals hibernate.

Our 10:15 AM temperature is 35°F (2°C), the humidity is 74%, and skies are overcast.  Winds are from the south at 4-13 mph and the dew point is 26°F (-3°C).  The pressure is 30.10 in (1019.3 mb) and falling.  Yesterday’s high was 42°F (6°C) and the overnight low was 30°F (-1°C).  Average temps for this date are 44°F / 29°F.  Sunrise was at 7:34 AM and sunset will be at 5:09 PM.
