A Snowy Monday In Mid Michigan

A Snowy Monday In Mid Michigan

It has been snowing steadily since I got up this morning and I’m estimating that we have about two inches so far.  Our winter weather advisory goes until 7 PM and I think we will get another inch or so before it is finished.  State Police are reporting road closures on the expressways due to accidents and I’m glad that I don’t have to be out there driving in it.  If folks would just slow down.

Our 4 PM temperature is 24°F (-4°C), the humidity is 85%, and skies are overcast with moderate snow falling.  Winds are from the SSW at 0-9 mph, and the wind chill is 19°F (-7°C).  The pressure is 29.47 in (998.0 mb) and steady.  Visibility is 3 miles and the dew point is 17°F (-8°C).  Yesterday’s high was 22°F (-6°C) and the overnight low was 11°F (-12°C).  Average temps for this date are 26°F / 14°F.  Sunrise was at 7:58 AM and sunset will be at 5:38 PM.
