High Wind Warning Changed To Advisory – Mid Michigan

We received a little rain overnight and winds howled all night long.  The temperature was 57F at 8 AM this morning, and it dropped 20 degrees in just 2  hours.  We are victims of a strong cold front which caused devastating tornadoes yesterday in Iowa.  As they moved toward us, they weakened considerably, but a few places did have thunder and lightning.  We did not.  In fact, we only received 0.04″ of rain total.  This morning has been cold and windy, but winds are beginning to die down.  The wind advisory is until 4 PM.

Our 2:30 PM temperature is 38°F (3°C), the humidity is 82%, and winds are from the WSW at 13 to 23 mph.  Skies are overcast and visibility is 10 miles.  The pressure is 29.69 in (1005.4 mb) and rising.  The dew point is 31°F (-1°C).  Yesterday’s high was 61°F (16°C) and the overnight low was 38°F (3°C).  Average temps for this date are 37°F / 21°F.  Sunrise was at 7:04 AM and sunset will be at  6:31 PM.

A chance of rain and snow between 1am and 4am, then snow. Low around 32. West wind 9 to 14 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Monday
Snow, mainly before 1pm. High near 36. Northeast wind 5 to 11 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
