A Rainy Day For Mid Michigan

A Rainy Day For Mid Michigan

This will not be a “work outdoors” day for us.  With all this rain, it’s hard to keep up with lawn mowing.  It seems like we just mow it, and have to start all over again.  We mow about 2.5 acres so it’s quite a job and getting expensive with gas prices what they are.  Temperatures keep going from one extreme to the other.  It goes from 20 degree above average to 20 degrees below average in just a few days.  This constant fluctuation keeps brewing severe storms across the country and we could see some on Friday.  At least we haven’t had any as bad as our neighboring states have.  Northern Michigan has a high fire danger at this time, and there is a wildfire near Onaway which is 75% contained as of yesterday.  Thankfully, there has been no structure damage.

Our 10:30 AM temperature is 51°F (11°C), the humidity is 90%, and skies are overcast with light rain.  The dew point is 45°F (7°C) and winds are from the E at 2-4 mph.  The pressure is 29.90 in (1012.5 mb) and falling.  Visibility is 11 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 66°F (19°C) and the overnight low was 42°F (6°C).  Average temps for this date are 66°F / 46°F.  Sunrise was at 6:10 AM and sunset will be at 8:55 PM.
