Will It Ever Stay Warm In Mid Michigan?

It seems like our weather just cannot warm up and stay there.  We have constant roller-coaster temperatures which are causing too much rain as well as severe storms.  Gaylord, MI was hit by an F3 tornado on Friday, and that is a rarity for northern Michigan.  Tornadoes aren’t really uncommon there, but one that strong certainly is.  We are very familiar with the area that was hit.  When we camped in Indian River, Gaylord was our go-to town for any sizable shopping.  They had every store that you could imagine, and they were all located right on that strip that the tornado demolished.  It’s heartbreaking to see the damage.  My mother was born and raised in Gaylord, and we went there often when I was a child since so many of her relatives remained there.  After the expressway went through, the town grew in leaps and bounds.  Of course, it is nothing now like it used to be, but many memories are there for me.  My folks moved back there and remained until they died.  That was 25 years ago already.  My heart breaks for Gaylord.

Our 3 PM temperature is 63°F, the humidity is 70%, and winds are from the WNW at 5-10 mph.  The dew point is 49°F and visibility is 11 miles.  Skies are mostly cloudy and the pressure is 30.33 in and rising.  Sunrise was at 6:07 AM and sunset will be at 9 PM.  Yesterday’s high was 73°F and the overnight low was 59F.  Average temps for this date are 67°F / 47°F.
