Day Two Of Winter Storm – Mid Michigan

Day Two Of Winter Storm – Mid Michigan

Although we only have about 5 inches of snow cover, we have one foot drifts.  My son went out for a test drive to see how the roads were, and he said that they’re all ice covered with snow blowing over them.  We are considering celebrating our Christmas next weekend and are trying to reach my daughter to tell her not to come.  She lives in the Detroit area and conditions there aren’t as bad as here.  We are still having snow showers and visibility is less than a mile.  I feel so bad for the birds and wildlife not having anywhere to go to get out of this weather.  It’s a chore just keeping the feeders filled with these strong winds.  I’m already hearing that there is another storm brewing to our west.  Enough already!

Our 2:15 PM temperature is 16°F, the humidity is 88%, and skies are cloudy with light snow.  Winds are from the west at 15 -26 mph, and the dew point is 11°F.  Visibility is 1.3 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 21°F and the overnight low was 3°F.  Average temps for this date are 32°F / 22°F.  Sunrise was at 8:05 AM and sunset will be at 5:06 PM.
