A Gloomy, Wet New Year For Mid Michigan
Our New Years Day is wet and mild, quite a difference from a week ago. I’m hearing of another major storm approaching, but I think it won’t affect us too much. The southern states seem to be where most of it will be felt, but time will tell. Our weather forecast is calling for one day this upcoming week, where temperatures will reach well into the 60s; that can usually preempt some nasty weather when a cold front runs into it. Most of next week will be wet and there is no mention of the sun until at least next Thursday.
Our 10:30 AM temperature is 35°F, the humidity is 95%, and skies are overcast with sprinkles. Winds are from the SSW at 2-6 mph and visibility is 7 miles. We received 0.06″ of rain as of 8:45 this morning. The dew point is 34°F and the pressure is 29.86 in and steady. Yesterday’s high was 41°F and the overnight low was 31°F. Sunrise was at 8:09 AM, and sunset will be at 5:13 PM.
