Finally! Some Sun! – Mid Michigan

What a difference a day with sunlight makes!  Our local station is already warning us to enjoy it because tomorrow will be cloudy once again.  I can’t remember the last time that we saw the sun but it’s been at least two weeks, maybe longer.  My prime weather guru, Ryan Hall, said that our part of the country will see above-average temperatures for most of the remaining January.  So what does that mean?  That we’ll be pummeled with unrelenting winter storms in the spring when the weather is supposed to be nice?  I hope that isn’t what happens.  The weather always seems to balance itself out one way or the other.  Just look at California.  They had a severe drought for such a long time.  Now they are getting 5 years worth of rain all at one time.  That may be an exaggeration, but maybe not.

Our 3:15 PM temperature is 40°F, the humidity is 69%, and skies are mostly clear.  Winds are from the southwest at 3-12 mph, and the pressure is 29.92 in and falling.  The dew point is 28°F and the wind chill is 34°F.  Yesterday’s high was 31°F and the overnight low was 26°F.  Average temps for this date are 30°F / 17°F.  Record temps for Jan. 8 are 54°F / -21°F.  Sunrise was at 8:08 AM and sunset will be at 5:20 PM.
