Some Sun For Our Afternoon – Mid Michigan

We had freezing rain yesterday morning which turned to all rain by the afternoon.  Our temperature now has reached the 40s , and all the ice on the trees gone.  We started the day with clouds, but it has cleared up this afternoon, and the sun is a welcome sight.  We are starting to see patches of grass showing through the ice cover, and the yard no longer feels crunchy to walk on.  Unfortunately, there is more winter mix on the way for tonight and I just hope that it doesn’t add to the layer of ice that we already have.  Maybe it won’t even happen.  Is that asking too much?

Our 3:45 PM temperature is 43°F (6°C), the humidity is 65%, and skies are mostly clear.  Winds are from the west at 2-8 mph and the wind chill is 37°F (3°C).  Visibility is 11 miles.  The dew point is 28°F (-2°C) and the pressure is 30.28 in (1025.4 mb) and steady.  Yesterday’s high was 33°F (1°C) and the overnight low was 31F (-1C).  Average temps for this date are 37°F / 20°F.  Sunrise was at 7:16 AM and sunset will be at 6:25 PM.
