Just Plain Hot – Mid Michigan

Anyone who knows me well, knows that I’m not a fan of hot weather.  When the temperature gets in the low 80s, that’s plenty warm enough for me.  Fortunately, our house stays cool well into the afternoon, even when the temp reaches  90 degrees, as long as we don’t open any windows.  Such is the case today.  Sometimes we just turn the AC  on to cool the house before we go to bed at night.  The humidity is very low and that’s what causes most of the discomfort.  Our extended forecast is now calling for a string of 90 degree days.  Last week it was cold enough to snow, now we’re roasting.  That’s typical Michigan in the springtime.

Our 3 PM temperature is 88°F (31°C), the humidity is 29%, and winds are from the south at 2-6 mph.  The dew point is 44°F (7°C) and the visibility is 16 miles.  The heat index is 85°F (29°C).  The pressure is 29.92 in (1013.2 mb) and falling.  There has been no rainfall since May 20.  Yesterday’s high was 85°F (29°C) and the overnight low was 50°F (10°C).  Average temps for this date are 74°F/51°F.  Sunrise was at 6:03 AM and sunset will be at 9:08 PM.
