The Heat Has Returned – Mid Michigan

We are heading back into hot and dry this week, with no rain expected anytime in the near future.  I’m happy that we got what we did, but not for the severe weather that some here in the state got.  There was one confirmed EF1 tornado in Detroit Beach, which is down in Monroe County.  Then there was a massive hail storm in Howell, which turned the ground white and caused quite a bit of damage.  My daughter lives in Howell but was lucky.  There was just hard rain where she lives.  Today is very warm with a nice breeze.  Also the humidity is low so it’s quite pleasant.

Our 2:45 PM temperature is 80°F (27°C), the humidity is 21%, and skies are clear.  Winds are from the NW at 2-8 mph and the dew point is 25°F (-4°C).  The pressure is 30.01 in (1016.3 mb) and falling, and visibility is 18 miles.  The UV Index is very high at 8, and the Air Quality Index is moderate at 58.  Yesterday’s high was 71°F (22°C) and the overnight low was 51°F (11°C).  Average temps for this date are 79°F/57°F.  Sunrise was at 5:58 AM and sunset will be at 9:19 PM.

DURAND / OWOSSO FORECAST:

Tonight:  Clear.  Low 52°F (11°C).  Winds light and variable.
