A Stormy Sunday Possible For Mid Michigan

A Stormy Sunday Possible For Mid Michigan

Although my area is not included in the high risk area for severe weather, we are being warned that it could happen.  My concern is for my son who is on his way to Kentucky for a training session for his work.  It seems that he’ll be driving through the worst of it.  It’s about an 8 hour drive to where he is going.  I’ll be worried about him all day.  Right now, our weather is hot and humid.  It feels like a sauna out there.  It never cooled off much last night and today is expected to be another hot one.  That’s perfect for storm formation, especially if we have much sun.

Our 10:15 AM temperature is 77°F (25°C), the humidity is 68%, and winds are from the SE at 5-9 mph.  Skies are cloudy and the dew point is 60°F (16°C).  The pressure is 29.71 in (1006.1 mb) and falling and visibility is 12 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 88°F (31°C) and the overnight low was 62°F (17°C).  The Air Quality Index is moderate at 55, and the UV Index is very high at 9.  Sunrise was at 5:59 AM and sunset will be at 9:20 PM.
