Another Cloudy, Cool Day – Mid Michigan

Another Cloudy, Cool Day – Mid Michigan

The only bright thing about today is my lovely yellow maple tree.  It always hangs onto it’s leaves longer than most others, and gives us something brilliant about an otherwise gloomy day.  Temperatures aren’t even expected to reach into the 50s today and it feels like November.  The wind and rain has stripped most leaves off the trees, but most of the hardwoods retain some.  I’m hearing that the UP had some snow overnight and we could see some flurries this upcoming week.  This October has been a disappointment in terms of the weather.  We didn’t have near as many sunny days as what we usually do, and the rain over the past week ruined much of our color.

Our 2 PM temperature is 48°F (9°C), the humidity is 74% and winds are from the NE at 3-7 mph.  The dew point is 38°F (3°C) and the pressure is 30.03 in (1016.9 mb) and falling.  Visibility is 11 miles.  Yesterday’s high temp was 59°F (15°C) and the overnight low was 41°°F (5°C).  Average temps for this date are 54°F/36°F.  We received 0.11″ of rain overnight.  Sunrise was at 8:08 AM and sunset will be at 6:35 PM.
