Cloudy And Damp . . . .
It has been a dreary, chilly day on our last day on Eastern Standard Time. Showers moved in yesterday around 1 PM, and continued well into the overnight. There was 0.71″ in my gauge this morning. Tomorrow we jump ahead one hour and it will take me about a month to readjust to the time change. I hate it! They have been talking about getting rid of DST for at least 10 years now but it never happens. I’ve given up on that possibility. Regardless, life goes on.
Our 3 PM temperature is 40°F, the humidity is 85%, and skies are overcast. Winds are from the west at 6-15 mph, and the pressure is 29.65 in and steady. The dew point is 35°F and visibility is 10 miles. Yesterday’s high was 51°F and the overnight low was 37°F. Average temps for this date are 41°F/23°F. The record high for March 8 is 79°F set in 2000, and the record low is -15°F set in 1869F. Sunrise was at 6:59 AM and sunset will be at 6:37 PM.
