Today is the beginning of meteorological autumn. After a rainy past two days, today is hot and dry once again.  The humidity and dew points are both high, so being outdoors is very uncomfortable.  We received little over half an inch of rain the past two days.  I’m hoping that this will be the last of our 90 degree weather.  The humming birds have been very active lately, so I think that their migration time is very near.  I’m no longer seeing any red winged blackbirds.  They had been very active at my feeders and the overall bird traffic has diminished somewhat.

Our 2:30 PM temperature is 88°F, the humidity is 64% and winds are from the WSW at 2-6 mph.  The pressure is 29.92 in and steady.  The dew point is 75°F and visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 79°F and the overnight low was 69°F.  Average temps for this date are 78°F/56°F.  Record temps for September 1 are 98°F (2010) and 42°F (2009).  Sunrise was at 7:01 AM and sunset will be at 8:13 PM.
