There are no warmups expected in the near future for us. In fact, some very frigid weather is forecasted for Christmas weekend. They are even giving us a higher possibility of having a white Christmas and that would be nice. It’s hard to believe that Christmas is only a week away. I think I’m ready! Our 10:30 AM temperature is 32°F, the humidity is 76%, and skies are cloudy. Winds are from the ESE at 4-14 mph, and the pressure…
While the deep south is being hammered by tornadic storms, and the Midwest is plagued with blizzards, we, here in Michigan, continue to have cold but quiet weather. This low pressure trough, which is wreaking havoc on so much of the country, will not be affecting us much at all. I certainly feel for the people of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, who seem to be getting hit every week with severe weather. Yesterday was a bad one for them, and…
We had mostly clouds this morning, but the sky is clearing nicely as the day goes on. With very little wind, it’s quite pleasant outdoors. The rain that was in the forecast, has now been removed and it appears that we will have mostly dry conditions for the next few days. It’s great weather for getting any last minute Christmas shopping done, and that’s what we’ll be doing today and through the rest of the week. Our 1:15 PM temperature…
I don’t have much to say about our weather except it is just more of the same. The big winter storm, heading in this direction, is expected to remain to our west and south, and we may get some rain or a few flurries from it. At least, that’s how it looks right now. I’m really hoping that we get a few inches by Christmas. It seems so much brighter with snow during these dark days of winter. Today will…
Yesterday was a typical early December day with overcast skies and cold temps. We did receive a bit of snow early in the evening, which left a light covering of white, mainly on smooth surfaces. Most of it was gone by morning with still just a trace remaining. There is more snow in the forecast for tonight, but the heavy snow which is affecting areas to our south, is totally missing us. Forecasters are saying that we have about a…
Today isn’t half bad with cloudy skies, light winds, and mild temperatures. We did get a little rain yesterday, only 0.02″. We had some light fog this morning and it is still a little hazy. No rain is expected today, and there are no real storm chances anytime soon for us. I’m hearing predictions of a possible major winter storm happening in about a week, but that remains to be seen. Also, exactly who will be affected by it isn’t…
We have another dreary day, but the sun did peek out briefly this afternoon. We had a few sprinkles early this morning, but it left not much more than a trace of rain. Temperatures are right around normal for this date, and winds are light. We went out and did a bit of Christmas shopping and mine is about done, thank heavens. I’m hearing that our chances for a white Christmas are pretty good and I hope it happens. Snow…
We saw a few breaks in the clouds early, but now skies have become overcast. We could see a few sprinkles of rain by day’s end. At least the temperatures are fairly mild and light winds. So overall, not too bad of a December day. Our 4 PM temperature is 39°F, the humidity is 55%, and winds are from the south at 2-7 mph. The wind chill is 35°F and the pressure is 29.74 in and falling. The dew point…
I looks like a beautiful day until the wind hits you. The sky is cloudless, and that’s the only thing which makes it feel even slightly mild. At least the furnace doesn’t run nearly as much when the sun is out. We better enjoy it because our forecast isn’t giving us much sun over the upcoming week, and there is even snow on tap for Thursday. Our 2:45 PM temperature is 38°F, the humidity is 54%, and winds are from…
Yesterday finished with temps in the low 50s and very strong winds. They really ramped up after midnight and we are under a wind advisory which should be expiring soon. We are expected to see a little sun this afternoon, and I hope that happens. It seems so dark and dreary right now. Temps have been falling all morning and are expected to only be in the 20s later. Our 1 PM temperature is 34°F, the humidity is 76% and…
