Yesterday began with clear skies, but it didn’t last long. About 2 PM, the clouds started rolling in, and the radar showed developing small scattered cells of thunderstorms developing , mainly to our south. As they moved northward, they increase in size and merged with each other. We heard constant thunder most of the afternoon, although we got very little rain. Once again, we have a nice, sunny morning. Temperatures are rising quickly which will probably usher in some storms this afternoon. The Weather Service is telling us to expect some strong storms, possible reaching severe level. We really could use the rain but not damaging winds or hail. Radar is showing a fragmented thunderstorm moving in my direction. In fact, it’s been on the radar for the past 3 hours but doesn’t seem to know where it want’s to go. There was a large red cell which seemed to be coming south from the Midland area, then it showed signs of diminishing.
