Mid Michigan Weather

Although my area was spared from any severe weather yesterday, the Bay City, Midland, and thumb areas weren’t so lucky.  There were various funnel clouds spotted resulting in tornado warnings but I haven’t heard of any actual touch-downs.  Wind damage was wide spread and many went through the night without power.  We are warned that tonight could give us a repeat performance.  We did have a shower earlier in the day which left 0.15″ in my rain gauge.  Right now,…

Today began with cloudy skies and now the rain has moved in.  Temps are expected to reach the mid 80s this afternoon and they have a ways to go if that’s going to happen.  Temperatures should remain very warm for the remainder of this week and that will seem good.  I’m not ready for fall weather yet. With Hurricane Dorian dominating the headlines, Michigan could have it’s own drama unfolding if today’s forecast is accurate.  We have the possibility of strong to severe storms moving in late this afternoon.  My county has already had two tornadoes this year and I certainly hope that it doesn’t happen again today.  I feel so bad for the people in the Bahamas with what they’re going through.  It’s a nightmare to be sure.  I pray for their safety and that this…
