Our last summer holiday weekend should be great for traveling with plenty of sun expected and decent temperatures. But Monday will bring another cold front and rain. This is very chilly for late August and early September in Michigan with overnight lows dipping into the upper 30s in northern Michigan. Highs in the mid to upper 60s is all we can expect for this upcoming week. I don’t mind the cool temps but it is just too early for them….

Today will not be good for outdoor activities with rain in the forecast for much of it. The radar isn’t showing any heavy precip, but just enough to dampen our day. Our morning is beginning with clouds and there is rain on the radar. Today was supposed to be dry, and it has been here so far. While Texas prepares for the landfall of Hurricane Harvey, our Michigan weather is lovely. On the negative side, it will probably head our way later in the week drenching us with abundant rain. This morning feels like a day in mid September. Our 8 AM temperature was only 50° and it is only 63°F now. I don’t think that we will see 70° today. Today was quite nice although it is far from cloudless. Temperatures are abnormally cool, but that is nothing new for this summer.
