Sunny And Warmer Temperatures For Our Monday – Mid Michigan

Sunny And Warmer Temperatures For Our Monday – Mid Michigan

This morning is quite breezy, the sun is shining and temperatures should be warmer than yesterday.  The scattered snow showers that we had yesterday left no trace today, and most of the upcoming week should be dry.  We aren’t expected to have a white Thanksgiving, in fact, it should be sunny and quite mild.  We certainly have had enough rain for awhile and a few sunny days will be most welcome. Our 9:30 AM EST temp is 34.3°F (2°C), the…

A Cold Sunday In Store For Mid Michigan

A Cold Sunday In Store For Mid Michigan

We had rain most of our Sunday which turned into snow in the early evening.  The ground began to cover but it didn’t last long.  The ground is still too warm for any snow to last.  We have snow flurries this morning with just a trace of snow remaining on the deck.  Temperatures will remain steady throughout the day, and our present temp will probably be our high.  We have very light snow flurries falling at this time and there…

A Very Wet, Foggy Saturday Morning in Mid Michigan

A Very Wet, Foggy Saturday Morning in Mid Michigan

Heavy rain moved into our area late last night dumping 0.63 inches in my area.  Some areas received over an inch.  There is another round coming later today, and with falling temps, it could change to snow especially tonight.  There is no significant accumulation expected however.  This morning has become a bit foggy since I got up but temperatures are mild and it is misting.  Yesterday afternoon saw a little sun late in the day but we probably won’t see…

Normal Novermber Weather For Mid Michigan

Normal Novermber Weather For Mid Michigan

What can I say except that this is a very normal November morning for Mid Michigan.  We have cloudy skies and temps slightly above freezing.  Highs will be near the normal range and no precip is in the forecast for today although I’m seeing snow on the radar.  Thanksgiving Day is this coming week and there are no significant weather systems expected to affect us anytime soon.  That’s a good thing for anyone who plans to travel in our area. …

Another Very Windy Day in Mid Michigan

Another Very Windy Day in Mid Michigan

This looks to be another not very nice day for Michiganders.   Strong winds picked up overnight and this morning is quite blustery.    The forecast is calling for a little sun later today but that won’t do much to warm it up with the winds as they are.  I guess I won’t complain though.  We could be buried in snow. Our 8 AM EST temp is 36.3°F (3°C),  the humidity is 62%, and winds are from the west at 14 mph,…

Another Wet November Day For Mid Michigan

Another Wet November Day For Mid Michigan

Today will be a very wet and cold day.  As the radar shows, there is a large mass of precip over our state, and rain with some snow mixed in is expected to last most of the day and night.  Yesterday was fantastic with sun all day and temps reaching 50°F.  We got a lot done in the yard, things which we didn’t quite get to earlier in the season.  Today is the first day of rifle deer season here…

We Have Sunshine in Mid Michigan

We Have Sunshine in Mid Michigan

Our Tuesday Morning is bright and cheerful, but we better enjoy it because it won’t last.  We have gloomy days in our forecast for the remainder of the week.  At least our temperature is expected to be around normal for a change.  Yesterday was cloudy all day but no precipitation.  Today will be a nice one and I fully intend to make the most of it. Our 9:30 AM temperature is 36°F (2°C), the humidity is 87%, and skies are…

Wet But Milder For Our Monday in Mid Michigan

Wet But Milder For Our Monday in Mid Michigan

Sunday brought cloudy skies and snow changing to rain late in the day.  Since I had to work, I really didn’t care.  We won’t see much sun today either, but at least temps will be a little warmer.  It’s amazing how many trees are still holding onto their leaves.  Usually they are all bare by now.  Even my lilac bushes still look like it’s summer.  Very unusual for this time of year.  Everyone’s Burning Bushes are red but mine are…

A Wintery Mix On Tap For Mid Michigan

A Wintery Mix On Tap For Mid Michigan

Our Sunday morning is calm but conditions will change as the day wears on.  We are expecting a mixed bag of precipitation today with rain, snow, and possibly a little freezing rain.  It won’t be a good day to be out and about.  Although there isn’t a lot of snow expected, it will be just enough to make the roads a bit greasy.   Our Veteran’s Day wasn’t bad and we had no precipitation in my area.  Some areas near Detroit…

A Slight Warmup From Yesterday in Mid Michigan

A Slight Warmup From Yesterday in Mid Michigan

Yesterday we broke a record for the coldest high temp for Nov. 10.  The old record was 28°F and yesterday’s high was only 24°F.  That isn’t exactly the kind of record that we like to see, but at least we will see a little warmup starting today.  It was sunny most of the day but that didn’t do much to warm it up  We still have a trace of snow on the deck, but that will be gone by tonight….
