More Flooding Rains For The Same Areas – Mid Michigag

Yesterday brought more heavy rain to the same areas that were affected by Tuesday’s storms.  We sat out last night watching the lightning as it passed to our  northwest.  We did receive a little rain overnight, only 0.01″.  The areas that were hit received over an inch of rain in some places.  This is becoming a daily event and it is expected to continue until Thursday.  Then we will finally get some dryer, cooler temps.  The past several days have been very uncomfortable with high dew points and humidity.

Our 10 AM temperature is 78°F (26°C), the humidity is 78% and the dew point is 70°F (21°C) giving us a heat index of 80°F (27°C).  Winds are from the southwest at 3 mph and skies are mostly clear.  Yesterday’s high was 86°F (30°C) and our overnight low was 71°F (22°C).  Averages for this date are 80°F / 56°F.

  1. Hi Cathie! Great post. Hope you had a great labor day. I noticed in the title line for this post the last word says “Michigag” instead of “Michigan”. You might want to fix that up. Just noticed it going through all the posts the past few days. Thanks for keeping us up on the latest weather updates in the Durand MI area. Kevin
