Ten Confirmed Tornadoes In The Past Week In Michigan

The first week of September hasn’t been kind to Michigan as many lines of storms moved through bringing damaging winds and tornadoes to the state over a 5 day period.  Fortunately, we didn’t get any here but one of the tornadoes struck just to our west in Bath Township, just north of Lansing.

We received just under an inch of rain total during this period.  Now that the cold front has finally moved through, our temperatures will be much more comfortable, and that should put an end to the storms as well as use of the A/C.

Our 10 AM temperature is 62°F (17°C),  the humidity is 94% and the dew point is 60°F (16°C).  The pressure is 30.30 in and rising.  Skies are overcast and winds are from the north at 6 mph.  There was 0.28″ in my rain gauge this morning.  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 90°F (32°C) and the overnight low was 62°F (17°C).
