Light Rain To Begin Our Thursday – Mid Michigan

When I got up this morning at around 7:45, we had light sprinkles..  Since that time it has turned into a steady light rain.  The forecast was for rain after 10 AM so it arrived early.  Our temperatures are remaining above average and that seems good after all the very cold weather that we had in Novermber.  Extended forecasts are calling for more of the same until the end of the month.  A white Christmas is doubtful for us but there is a chance that it could happen.

Right now (8:45 AM) our temperature is 35.8°F (2°C), the humidity is 76% and skies are cloudy with light to moderate rain.  Winds are calm.  The pressure is 29.77 in (1008.1 mb) and  steady.  The dew point is 33°F (1°C) and visibility is 5 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 47°F (8°C) and the overnight low was 37°F (3°C).  Averages for this date are 33°F / 28°F.  Sunrise was at 8:03 AM and sunset will be at 5:04 PM.  The record high for Dec. 20 is 59°F (15°C) set in 1957, and the record low is -4°F (-20°C) set in 1954.
