A Powerless Thanksgiving Day For Many In Michigan

After having winds up to  60 mph in many areas yesterday, many in Mid Michigan are without power today.  Thankfully, we aren’t one of them.  There was plenty of damage in the Saginaw-Bay City area but Shiawassee County seemed to be spared from the worst of it.  After highs in the 50s yesterday, we won’t even make it to 40° today but at least the winds have subsided.

Our 9:30 AM temperature is 33°F (1°C), the humidity is 76%, and skies are overcast.  Winds are from the north at 6 mph giving us a wind chill of 27°F (-3°C).  The dew point is 29°F (-2°C) and the pressure is 30.39 in (1029.1 mb) and rising.  Visibility is 10 miles.  We received 0.25 ” of rain yesterday.  Yesterday’s high was 53°F (12°C) and the overnight low was 33°F (1°C).
