Winter Is Returning Tonight In Mid Michigan

After another very chilly night, our temperatures will not be rebounding much today.  Highs will only reach near 40 degrees, and there is some wintry weather expected tonight.  We aren’t expecting much in accumulations, but it could be a mix of rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow by the time it is finished.  Weather maps are showing that we could get up to an inch of snow but that remains to be seen.  We have a little sun this morning, mostly filtering through the clouds and I’m not expecting that to last long.

Our 10 AM temperature is 27°F (-3°C), the humidity is 65%, and skies are mostly cloudy.  Winds are from the east at 8-13 mph.  The pressure is 30.16 in (1021.3 mb) and steady.  The dew point is 17°F (-8°C) and the wind chill is 18°F (-8°C).  Visibility is 10 miles.   Yesterday’s high is 44°F (7°C) and the overnight low was 19°F (-7°C).  Averages for this date are 42°F / 26°F.  Sunrise was at 7:48 AM and sunset will be at 7:42 PM.
