High Wind Warning For All Of Michigan

High Wind Warning For All Of Michigan

Our morning started out quiet but now the wind is really howling.  My weather station is showing winds from 23-30 mph, but I know we are having gust stronger than that.  In fact, it blew my lawn swing over and I’ve never had that happen before.  So far, there have been no interruption in our power, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that happened before the day’s end.  We had overnight rain and I’m seeing a few lightning strikes on my weather station.  We received 0.62 in of rain.  Skies are mostly cloudy, but we get a glimpse of the sun every so often.  The big story today is the devastating tornadoes in Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee.  So sad for those folks and right before the holidays.

Our 12 noon temperature is 41°F (5°C), the humidity is 76%, and winds are from the WSW at 25-40 mph.  The dew point is 35°F (2°C) and the pressure is 29.26 in (990.9 mb) and rising.  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 46°F (8°C) and the overnight low was 41°F (5°C).  Normal temps for this date are 34°F / 24°F.  Sunrise was at 7:57 AM and sunset will be at 5:01 PM.
