Quite Before The Storm – Mid Michigan

Quite Before The Storm – Mid Michigan

We are currently under a high wind watch beginning at 8AM tomorrow morning, until 8PM tomorrow evening.  You would never know it to be outdoors today.  Winds are light and we have clearing skies.  A local meteorologist said that this is close to being a “bomb cyclone” but not quite.  I guess that tells us that it’s going to be pretty windy.  My husband tested the generator to be sure it’s working if we need it.  So I guess we’re ready.  I’m not planning to go anywhere tomorrow so let it storm.

Our 1:30 PM temperature is 39°F (3°C), the humidity is 84%, and skies are partly cloudy.  Winds are from the NE at 3-5 mph and the dew point is 33°F (1°C).  The pressure is 29.88 in (1011.9 mb) and steady.  Visibility is 8 miles.  Sunrise was at 7:57 AM and sunset will be at 5:02 PM.  Yesterday’s high was 37°F (3°C) and the overnight low was 32°F (0°C).  Averages for this date are 34°F / 24°F.
