Overnight Snow Whitens Our World – Mid Michigan

Overnight Snow Whitens Our World – Mid Michigan

My picture is what I saw this morning at 4:30 as I looked out my window.  We did receive a little over 2 inches of heavy, wet snow which was hard shoveling.  I had to do it so my fur baby would go out and do her business.   Sometimes we’re slaves to our pets.  The snow was ended by the time I got up and temperatures warmed up enough that about half of it melted already.  The next few days should be quiet, but another possible weather system could strike us on New Year’s Day.  Since we have no plans, it doesn’t really matter much to me.   The snow was perfect today for snowman construction if anyone was so inclined.

Our 5:45 PM temperature is 35°F (2°C), the humidity is 99% and skies are cloudy.  Winds are from the SE at 2-4 mph, and the dew point is 35°F (2°C).  The pressure is 29.61 in (1002.7 mb) and steady.  Today’s high was 37°F (3°C) and the overnight low was 29°F (-2°C).  The normal temps for this date are 31°F / 17°F.  Sunrise was at 8:07 AM and sunset was at 5:08 PM.
