Blizzard Warnings For West Michigan

Blizzard Warnings For West Michigan

Yesterday was sunny but very cold.  The low temp on my weather station read 0°F yesterday although temps from the airport showed 4°F as the low.  It is always a few degrees colder here in the country so that’s not surprising.  This morning is starting out with milder temperatures and mostly clear skies.  There is some nasty weather heading our way although  the Lake Michigan shore area will get most of it.  At this time, we aren’t expecting more than an additional inch or less of new snow, but strong winds will be our issue.  We know how quickly that can change.

Our 9:45 AM temperature is 23°F (-5°C), the humidity is 83%, and skies are mostly clear with a light layer of clouds.  Winds are from the SE at 5-12 mph, and the dew point is 19°F (-7°C).  The pressure is 30.12 in (1020.0 mb) and falling.  Yesterday’s high was 27°F (-3°C) and the overnight low was 18°F (-8°C).  Average temps for this date are 31°F / 21°F.  Sunrise was at  8:07 AM and sunset will be at 5:15 PM.
