A Windy, Snowy Day In Mid Michigan

A Windy, Snowy Day In Mid Michigan

We are under a wind advisory until 10 PM tonight.  As far a snow goes, my area is only expecting maybe an inch.  The west side of the state is under blizzard warnings.  So this won’t be a good day to be traveling anywhere.  We have seen a few light snow showers this morning and there is a  light covering on our deck.  Temperatures have been dropping since I got up.  The birds are keeping the feeders empty and we’ve been having to refill them often.  I feel sorry for the wild critters in this type of weather.  It must be hard to find food.

Our 11:45 AM temperature is 28F (-2C), the humidity is 91%, and skies are overcast with light snow.  Winds are from the WSW at 7-20 mph.  The pressure is 29.47 in (998.0 mb) and rising. The wind chill is 23F (-5C) and the dew point is 26F (-3C).  Visibility is 2 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 34F (1C) and the overnight low was 29F (-2C).  Average temps for this date are 31F / 21F.  Sunrise was at 8:07 AM and sunset will be at 5:16 PM.
