Sunny But Very Cold In Mid Michigan

The temperature was only 2°F when I got up this morning and we won’t see highs reaching much above 20F today.  January is certainly here.  At least the winds aren’t too bad.  We had snow showers all day Thursday, giving us an additional 2 inches of snow cover.  We now have about 6 inches total.  The snow was light and dry, so it only measured 0.07″ of water in my rain gauge.  Hopefully, no more snow today.

Our 1:45 PM temperature is 17°F (-8°C), the humidity is 71%, and the sky is clear.  Winds are from the WNW at 3-10 mph and the wind chill is 9°F (-13°C).  The dew point is 9°F (-13°C) and the pressure is 30.20 in (1022.7 mb) and rising.  Visibility is 11 miles.  Sunrise was at 8:08 AM and sunset will be at 5:18 PM.  Yesterday’s high was 22°F (-6°C) and the overnight low was 2°F (-17°C).  Average temps for this date are 31°F / 20°F.
