Today has been bright and sunny, and the wind has been light.  Looking out the window, it looks like a wonderful, winter day.  but walking out the door changes your mind.  It looks like it should be thawing, but nothing is melting.  We continue to have complete snow cover and there is no forecast showing that our temps will warm up any time soon.  There is a major winter storm affecting the southern parts of the country, and we were lucky that it totally missed us.  There is no precipitation in our near future forecasts, and this does seem strange indeed for mid January.  Usually we hardly see the sun in January, and we have had many sunny days this month.  Now if we could get some warmer temperatures.

Our 3:15 PM temperature is 28°F (-2°C), the humidity is 65%, and skies are mostly clear.  Winds are from the East at 1-5 mph.  The dew point is 16°F (-9°C).  The pressure is 29.66 in (1004.4) and falling.  Visibility is 13 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 18°F (-8°C) and the overnight low was -1°F (-18°C).  Average temps for this date are 28°F / 16°F.  Sunrise was at 8:04 AM and sunset will be at 5:28 PM.

Monday:  Cloudy.  High in the low 30s.  Winds NW at 10-20 mph.

Monday Night:  Mostly cloudy.  Low near 20°F.  Winds WNW at 10-15 mph.
