No Snow Emergency For Us – Mid Michigan

No Snow Emergency For Us – Mid Michigan

We didn’t get the massive snow amounts that other areas did, but today will be miserable none the less.  We had lake effect snow showers for the past two days, but the ground is warm enough that much of it melted.  We do have about 2 inches of snow cover and ice where it melted and refroze.  The big issues today are the temperatures and wind.  Highs won’t even reach the freezing mark and wind chills are brutal.  I guess I won’t be going outdoors at all today.

Our 10:15 AM is 23°F, the humidity is 73% and winds are from the SSW at 9-16 mph, giving us a wind chill of 13°F.  The pressure is 29.74 in and falling, and visibility is 11 miles.  Skies are mostly cloudy with filtered sun.  Yesterday’s high was 34°F and the overnight low was 20°F.  Average temps for this date are 45°F / 30°F.  Sunrise was at 7:35 AM and sunset will be at 5:11 PM.
