Just Another Gloomy January Day In Mid Michigan

Yesterday became cloudy with rain developing in the late afternoon.   It ended right around midnight and we only received 0.12″.  This morning began with fog and cloudy skies.  It hasn’t improved much since then.  We see so little sun this time of the year, and I like having snow because it doesn’t seem so dark.  We don’t even have that and future forecasts aren’t promising.  In fact, I just heard where February is expected to be on the warm side for us.  I hope that doesn’t mean that we’ll get our winter in late March and April.  It wouldn’t be the first time that it happened.

Our 1 PM temperature is 42°F, the humidity is 91% and winds are from the SW at 6-15 mph.  Visibility is 8 miles and the wind chill is 36°F.  The pressure is 29.40 in and steady.  Yesterday’s high was 40°F and our overnight low was 37°F.  Average temps for this date are 30°F / 15°F.  Record temps for Jan. 16 are 60°F / -15°F.  Sunrise was at 8:05 AM and sunset will be at 6:01 PM.

DURAND / OWOSSO FORECAST:
