Sunny But Not Much Warmth – Mid Michigan

Sunny But Not Much Warmth – Mid Michigan

We have sun this morning but very cold temperatures.  Our temp was -5°F this morning at 8:30AM, and highs today won’t make it out of the teens.  This is the price we pay for lack of cloud cover.  It’s fine if you don’t have to be outdoors in it, and can just observe out the window.  Fortunately, that’s us.  This arctic air will continue most of this week, and we are promised another round of above-average temps next week.   That means that temps should rise above the freezing mark once again.  If the snow just melts off my deck, I’ll be happy, and so will the dog.

Our 11 AM temperature is 12°F, the humidity is 74%, and skies are mostly clear.  Winds are from the west at 2-4 mph, and the wind chill is 6°F.  The dew point is 6°F and the pressure is 30.31 in and steady.  Visibility is 10 miles.  Yesterday’s high was 25°F and the overnight low was -5°F.  Average temps for this date are 30°F / 15°F, and record temps for Jan. 30 are 59°F / -15°F.  Sunrise was at 7:54 AM and sunset will be at 5:48 PM.
