A Snowy, Blustery Day. . …

Our morning started out with light snow showers which has produced about half an inch so far.  We aren’t expecting too much, just enough to brighten the landscape a bit.  I don’t think that it will last long since the ground is warm and temperatures will rise above freezing by the afternoon.  In fact, they already have.  The biggest issue today will be the wind, with gusts as high as 40 mph possible.  It’ll be a good day just to stay indoors.

Our 11:15 AM temperature is 33°F (1°C), the humidity is 95%, and skies are overcast with light snow.  Winds are from the west at 13-18 mph, and the dew point is 32°F (0°C).  The pressure is 29.32 in (992.9 mb) and steady.  Visibility is 1.25 miles and the wind chill is 25°F (-4°C).  Yesterday’s high was 46°F (8°C) and the overnight low was 32°F (0°C).  Average temps for this date are 34°F/22°F.  The record high for Dec. 18 is 51°F (11°C), set in 2006, and the record low is 2°F (-17°C), set in 2000.  Sunrise was at 8:04 AM and sunset will be at 5:04 PM.
